2011 in Review

For the past year, I have been taking a photograph every day. The original intent was to capture a photo of the day from a photojournalistic point of view - I wanted to be able to look back at each photograph and be able to understand what was going on. I can say that I successfully did that.

What I did not expect was how I would capture the various photographs. I ended up using a Nikon d7000, 35mm film camera, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4S, or a disposable camera to capture each day. I had also found that it was easier to write down each day and number and then do mass uploads (you can see the various sheets of paper in photograph 365).

This project has been a lot of fun to keep up with for the past year. Perhaps my favorite part was that it gave me even more of an excuse to take more pictures. Now I have even more memories than I would have ever thought to capture.

Looking back at it now, it’s amazing to browse the pages and see my year go by. At the same time, I think about how it only captures a fraction of a year.

Thank you to everyone who helped out with this project this past year, I could not have done it without you. Now please go and enjoy the photos.
